About The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven therapy assistant to join our "The Pines" team for 3 shifts per fortnight. Location Aegis The Pines has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 78 residents in three areas. Designed to complement the Ellenbrook Village, it incorporates a Mediterranean style. Situated within the majestic pine plantation and the natural bushland of Ellenbrook. Many 'day trip' venues are located close-by in the Swan Valley, providing a wonderful variety of choice for that special outing. Aegis The Pines is an ageing in place facility with both High and Low Care accommodation available in all areas as well as specialist dementia care. Accommodation comprises single and double rooms with a large ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. The different areas or wings all have lounge and dining areas and access to extensive gardens and patio areas. As an integral part of the team, you will: Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist. Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs. Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed. Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines. Requirements of the role Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential). Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant). Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Have empathy with the elderly. Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
