Impact of the organisation The Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) is the peak body for individual aged care advocacy and consists of nine state and territory members that provide free, confidential and independent information and support to older people seeking or receiving government-funded aged care as well as their families and other representatives. OPAN works with the government to influence aged care policy through systemic advocacy. OPAN’s vision is a society where older people are heard, informed, and respected and where they enjoy and exercise their human rights. Impact you will have in this role The Marketing and Communications Lead is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality campaigns, advertising, and digital media initiatives that amplify OPAN’s voice and increase awareness of aged care advocacy. This role manages OPAN’s digital platforms, leads the delivery of national marketing and engagement campaigns, and supports the broader communications strategy. You will work closely with internal teams, OPAN’s network members and external suppliers to ensure consistency across brand, tone, and messaging, and help ensure older people, their families and the community know where to turn for aged care advocacy. We are looking for a skilled marketing professional who can develop strategic plans, lead integrated multi-channel campaigns, manage websites and digital content, and support junior team members in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of integrated marketing, advertising and engagement campaigns . Manage OPAN’s websites and microsites, liaising with developers to enhance functionality. Coordinate digital activities including SEO/SEM, eDMs, paid ads, and social media. Develop high-quality branded materials and ensure alignment with OPAN’s style and brand guides. Monitor campaign performance and produce regular reports and dashboards. Contribute to the Engagement Strategy and related project delivery. Mentor and support the Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Graphic Design & Digital). Support webinar and event promotion. Document and refine communications processes to improve efficiency and consistency. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or similar. Proven experience in a communications, marketing, or digital role. Strong writing, editing and content development skills. Knowledge of digital channels including CMS, SEO, eDM, social media and online ads. Confidence using design tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to develop and edit content. Strong project management capability, including working with multiple stakeholders and external suppliers. Data literacy and ability to evaluate campaign performance. Excellent attention to detail and time management. Collaborative working style and ability to work autonomously. An interest in aged care, advocacy, or the not-for-profit sector.
