Duties and Responsibilities Interpreting job orders, drawings, and specifications to ensure timber products meet precise industry requirements Selecting tools, equipment, and timber to match production needs, with a focus on efficiency and quality Setting up and operating modern woodworking machinery to produce parts accurately and safely Machining timber through cutting, shaping, sanding, and finishing processes to meet performance standards Preparing surfaces and removing old finishes where necessary to support refurbishment or rework tasks Applying protective finishes and treatments suited to the harsh demands of the mining and industrial sectors Assembling timber components to match specifications, ensuring structural integrity and consistency Securing work materials and maintaining a clean, well-organised workspace for safe, effective operations Inspecting products through visual checks and other quality control methods to uphold our commitment to excellence Carrying out basic maintenance on machines to ensure smooth operation and reduce downtime Qualifications and Requirements Relevant qualifications in woodworking or a related trade A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role Strong attention to detail in machine operation and product finishing Ability to interpret technical drawings and production instructions Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining equipment Salary This is a full-time position with a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 – $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
