Joining a leading, global tech company, this contract opportunity will suit an exceptional professional with a strong understanding of Australia’s policy environment, particularly in relation to the Australian technology sector. You will join a tight-knit public policy team covering Australia and New Zealand. Role Responsibilities: Preparing materials to assist with the team’s engagement in a range of competition policy processes, including analysis, position papers, briefing documents, research proposals and written submissions. Building and implementing strategies to deepen relationships with external partners and customers, with a focus on startup customers. Working collaboratively across local and global policy teams and with internal stakeholders across functions. Liaising with external stakeholders, including agencies, consultants, industry associations and academics, while proactively developing ethical relationships with individuals influencing or developing policy for government Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required: Economics, Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or similar. 5 years of relevant public policy, legal or advocacy experience, e.g. within corporate government relations or public policy, in economic consulting, public administration, industry associations or non-governmental organizations. A track record of successful public engagements or representing your organization in meetings, including on technology, competition, or AI. Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous circumstances. Project management experience Familiarity with AU and Australian startup ecosystem.
