We are seeking a motivated and passionate graduate nurse to join our graduate nurse program, offering a full time twelve (12) month opportunity commencing July 2025. This opportunity provides experience in a range of inpatient and community positions. The successful applicant will join our nursing team who provide high quality nursing care to our patients and a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of our patients. You will gain practical experience and make an impact within our team who care for our patients. The benefit of joining Mercy Health Albury for your graduate year is that you will have the opportunity to rotate throughout our 30 bed, subacute inpatient service which provides specialised multidisciplinary care in our geriatric evaluation management, palliative care unit and Transitional Aged Care Program. Our community nursing service provides general nursing care and also a specialised palliative care service to the Albury region and surrounds. Your rotation will include community experience with a team of clinical nurse specialists providing an all rounded nursing experience. The Position: Provide direct clinical care under the supervision of our supportive and experienced health professionals Provide a comprehensive orientation with ongoing debriefing sessions which are supported by our learning team and dedicated onsite Clinical Nurse Educator Make an impact and work closely with other health professionals who are working to the same patient centred goal Mercy Health inpatient service is operational 24/7, with our roster consisting of 8 hour day/evening shifts and 10 hour night shifts Community nursing is provided Monday to Friday within business hours About you: Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Motivated and committed to participating in all aspects of the registered nurse new graduate program High level of interpersonal communication skills (both written & verbal) Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: ● Recognised tertiary qualification and current full Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) ● Demonstrated record of achievement and experience working in a health setting ● A current Police Record Check ● Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
