The role Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Trust & Foundations Manager will be responsible for researching and developing the grants pipeline and writing compelling grant submissions and cases for support to secure funding. The income attributed to this position directly supports high-impact programs and services for children and families, making it a core component of our fundraising strategy. Beyond revenue, the Trust and Foundation Manager plays a vital role as a conduit between funders and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between donor expectations and program delivery. This role manages a portfolio of complex, high-value relationships and provides strategic oversight of reporting, compliance, and stewardship, all essential for maintaining trust and securing ongoing support. This is a full-time role and is based at our corporate offices in South Brisbane. Who are you? A skilled communicator who can craft compelling narratives from complex data, transforming words and figures into persuasive messages that resonate with target audiences and drive funding outcomes. A collaborator at heart, able to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders to gather insights and build strong, evidence-based cases for support. Highly numerate, with a sharp eye for tracking opportunities, analysing data, and developing clear budgets and financial forecasts. An articulate and confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Diplomatic and discreet, with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity. Known for your high standards of conduct and ability to build strong, respectful working relationships across all levels. Key criteria To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: Appropriate undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, publishing, editing or similar field. Demonstrated experience with managing a successful portfolio of Trust & Foundation opportunities and of establishing and maintaining relationships with donors and/or trusts and foundations. Understanding of trust and foundation landscape at local, state and national level. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and establish priorities with a commitment to quality outcomes and customer service. What is our difference?
