About the role The role contributes to the City by connecting and empowering Hobart-based businesses and entrepreneurs through the coordination, development and promotion of localised marketing campaigns, business support and funding opportunities. Support Businesses: Respond to the needs of businesses and entrepreneurs in the Hobart Local Government Area (LGA) to enhance the city's reputation as an investment and visitor destination. Engage Stakeholders: Develop and implement strategies with key stakeholders to assist in the city's economic development and collaborate on Greater Hobart projects. Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify market trends and promotional opportunities that benefit local businesses and the city's economy. Project Planning: Contribute to cross-disciplinary projects that align with the city's economic development policies and objectives. Collaborate: Work with various departments and other local government entities to identify funding and commercial opportunities. Representation: Represent the city's interests at forums, events, and workshops as required. Current Drivers Licence. Demonstrated and significant Experience in engaging with stakeholders and using promotional practices to identify and address issues, gaps, and opportunities.
