Ebix is a global provider of on-demand business software and solutions for the insurance industry. In this role, you’ll contribute to developing software solutions while also providing consulting and integration services for both internal and external projects. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex software solutions. This Sydney-based role involves working with both onshore and offshore development teams on an international broking system designed for large-scale clients. What You’ll Do Design and Development: Develop, test, and maintain web applications using VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, WCF Services, Oracle and SQL Server. System Analysis: Analyse system requirements and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of projects. Identify technology limitations and opportunities - research and analysis to recommend and incorporate new technology into Ebix software. Technical Specifications: Develop technical specifications and architecture for new projects. Code Quality: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code. Review and refactor code to improve performance and maintainability. Testing and Debugging: Perform extensive testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software. Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives. Documentation: Document development processes, procedures, and code changes.
