The Company An established importer and distributor of specialty chemicals is seeking an Account Manager to: Manage customer accounts, Coordinate pricing between customers and suppliers, Provide technical and marketing support, Establish and maintain strong relationships with both customers and principals. What they are looking for: Proven Industry experience and a track record of sales within the Industrial chemical market. Ability to expand sales of existing products to existing customers. Ability to actively prospect, develop and expand sales of products to new customers. Ability to quickly establish and build sound relationships with both customers and principals. Experience handling multinational accounts Ability to provide a high level of technical service to the customer base Ability to manage the allocated products portfolio including responsibility for profitability, stock and working capital management, forecasting, principal/supplier liaison and marketing mix aspects. The resilience and confidence necessary to work in a competitive business environment. Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships. Experience 2-3 years related experience. Supervisory or Management Experience Not required. Education Tertiary Degree and/or professional experience in field. Professional Training and/or Certification Relevant technical and sales background as well as market experience. Good understanding of the food markets. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong commercial and presentation skills Great attention to detail Able to travel interstate and occasionally overseas
