We’re looking for a Wallet Security Engineer to lead the charge in designing, implementing, and continuously improving wallet infrastructure security — safeguarding digital assets for both the company and our customers. You’ll play a key role in defending against external threats, insider risk, and operational failure across both custodial and non-custodial systems. This is a mission-critical role for someone who thrives at the intersection of security, cryptography, and blockchain infrastructure. What You'll Be Doing: 1. Wallet Infrastructure & Security Design Design, secure, and maintain both hot and cold wallet infrastructures Implement and manage multisig, TSS (threshold signature schemes), and HSMs Monitor on-chain activity and wallet transactions for suspicious patterns 2. Custody Systems Engineering Collaborate with engineering to architect secure custodial and non-custodial systems Enforce RBAC, secure key management, and provisioning protocols Build out robust backup, recovery, and failover processes 3. Threat Modeling & Risk Management Identify and mitigate wallet-related vulnerabilities Participate in internal red teaming, code audits, and pen tests Maintain updated threat models and internal security policies 4. Incident Response Lead response efforts for wallet-related incidents or breaches Conduct postmortems, root cause analyses, and implement prevention strategies Develop incident playbooks to reduce response time and impact 5. Compliance & Security Audits Ensure wallet security systems meet relevant regulatory frameworks Support and prepare for third-party audits and penetration assessments 6. Monitoring & Automation Deploy monitoring tools to track and detect wallet anomalies in real time Automate key rotation, access reviews, and security event alerts What You Bring 3–7 years in cybersecurity, preferably within crypto or fintech Deep understanding of cryptographic systems (ECDSA, Schnorr, Shamir's Secret Sharing, etc.) Hands-on experience with HSMs, TSS, MPC, and advanced key management systems Familiarity with leading blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana) Awareness of smart contract vulnerabilities (especially for DeFi/DEX) Solid understanding of cloud security, containers, and CI/CD pipelines Proficiency in Go, Rust, Python, or Solidity is a strong plus Security certifications (CISSP, OSCP, CEH, etc.) are a bonus but not required Who You’ll Work With Infrastructure, DevOps, and Blockchain Engineering teams Legal, compliance, and risk teams External audit firms, wallet vendors, and security researchers Make sure to follow us here to get our most live jobs https://www.linkedin.com/company/cryptorecruit Cryptorecruit are the worlds leading specialist recruiter for the blockchain/Cryptocurrency industry.
