Your New Role Based in Melbourne’s West, you will work from 8:30 am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, reporting to the school’s Vice Principal / Business Manager. Your key deliverables as Head of Curriculum (Primary) duties will include: Ensuring curriculum rollout is to a high standard, and teachers have guidance on areas of improvement and betterment; Identifying leaders within the school enabling opportunities for development and succession planning; Staying compliant with course guidelines and having smooth rollouts of content / themed weeks; Demonstrate a sound knowledge of educational research, pedagogy, assessment and reporting in a primary school context. Working closely with Head of Curriculum (Secondary) as needed; and Contributing to the positive culture, and community feel of the school – providing a high performance, standard of excellence which all students can aspire to. What You Need to Succeed Relevant tertiary teaching studies with Masters being highly regarded; Proven leadership in curriculum coordination or related roles; Experience mentoring and upskilling teachers; Strong knowledge of primary curriculum principles & regulatory frameworks; Highly relationship – driven to be able to influence and monitor overall primary specific curriculum; and Hold relevant checks; Working with Children Check (WWCC).
