About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Tandoori Chef. Responsibilities : Responsible for the preparation of dishes from the tandoor, including naan bread, chaps, and marinated meats as per the menu and recipes. Recruit, Train and mentor other kitchen staff and apprentices in tandoori cooking techniques. Effectively deal and rectify the issues for the smooth operations of the business. Monitor stock levels of tandoori ingredients and order high-quality raw materials to avoid shortages. Providing instructions to kitchen staff regarding the proper way of handling cooking equipment and demonstrating different cooking styles. Create prep lists for kitchen crew. Ensure proper storage of tandoori ingredients in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain freshness and quality. Maintain high standards of food hygiene in accordance with regulatory standards. Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas. Preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with restaurant standards Cook Tandoori Dishes on the menu following recipes Ensuring the seasoning marination and garnishing of tandoori dishes are done appropriately as well as ensuring that the right portion of food is served to the customers as per restaurant standards. Allocate and oversee the work of the junior kitchen staff team including cleaning schedules. Qualifications & Experience: Certificate IV qualification is required. The candidate must have at least 1 year’s relevant work experience Friendly, positive & approachable attitude Well-presented & motivated Able to work unsupervised under pressure. Salary: AUD $70,000- $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
