They are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter Machinist or Fitter & Turner to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fixed plant machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime in a heavy industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment. Conduct installations and upgrades to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency. Maintain and repair mechanical systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with a focus on minimising downtime. Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational procedures. Assist in the planning and implementation of mechanical maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance. About You: Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent. Proven 3 years’ experience as a fitter, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industry environments. Forklift Ticket Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and quality standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
