Cardiac Physiologist (Cath lab, Cardiac Devices, EP) The Role MQ Health Cardiology Clinic is seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist (Cath lab, Cardiac Device, EP) to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. You will work as part of a team of fellow clinicians and support services to ensure patient-centred care and provide high-quality patient experience and expert cardiac hemodynamic services. The role requires proficient communication skills and a strong commitment to continuous improvement initiatives. You will have exposure to a wide variety of complex structural heart cases, coronary physiology studies (microvascular) and complex electrophysiology studies. The Cardiac Physiologist is a vital member of the Interventional Services team at MQ Health, providing essential technical and clinical support for interventional cardiac procedures. This role is instrumental in preparing, managing, and applying technological skills in cardiac equipment for a variety of cardiological interventions. Key accountabilities of this role include (but not limited to): Mandatory competency in Cardiac Laboratory procedures, particularly physiological measurements and haemodynamic monitoring, right heart catheterisation and capable of effective troubleshooting. Echo and cath lab experience will also be considered. Has experience with the Cardiac Catheterisation laboratory, Pacemaker/Defibrillator cases. Minimal exposure to Electrophysiology studies is preferred. Skilled in conducting ECGs, Holter Monitoring, Stress Testing, and Tilt Table Testing. Available for rotational on-call duties for urgent coronary angiography. Provides support to the Interventional Services team for timely and appropriate cardiac investigations for patients. Acknowledges and operates within the defined scope of practice for Cardiac Physiologists. Practices culturally sensitive care, respecting a diverse range of beliefs, values, and practices. Ensures the delivery of patient-centred care, aiming for positive patient outcomes and working collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team About You Reporting to Cardiac Physiologist Manager, you will be proficient in the delivery of professional clinical services to MQ Health patients across outpatient and inpatient services. You must be proficient in the analysis of ECG’s, stress tests and cardiac hemodynamic monitoring in a cardiac catheterization lab. Minimal exposure in EP is preferred. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing professional development. Ability to prioritise work and manage workloads within established routines, methods, and procedures.
