The University of Wollongong’s Management Cadetship is a 4-year program aimed at Year 12 school leavers. The Opportunity Cadets rotate through a number of areas across the University over the four-year term including, but not limited to, People and Culture, Strategy, Student Services, and Governance. Cadets also undertake a relevant undergraduate degree majoring in areas such as Business, Business Administration, Communication & Media Studies, Computer Science, Economics & Finance, International Studies, Information Technology, Mathematics and Finance. Other areas of study may be acceptable if they are considered compatible with the work placements of the Cadetship. You will complete work placements across areas of the university and undertake a 12-month specialised placement which relates to your degree major and will assist in preparing you to gain a permanent full-time position at the university in your chosen field. Responsibilities of the management cadet vary according to the work unit to which they are assigned. All duties are outlined and agreed upon at the commencement of each placement.
