The Role Our client started 13 years ago and has consistently expanded and improved its operations to produce liquid fertilisers and seed dressings. They are currently seeking a full-time batching plant assistant to support the plant manager at their facility, housed in well-equipped sheds, located 8 km from Gilgandra, NSW. As a batching plant assistant, you will be responsible for batching fertiliser in tanks, packaging the product, and loading and unloading shipments. You will work alongside one other employee, who is the manager/supervisor. Your tasks will include mixing and labouring with fertiliser in tanks, operating pumps, using a forklift, and maintaining and cleaning equipment and the surrounding area. Applicants should be reliable and capable of working independently after training, which will be provided as required. Experience with pumps and welding would be helpful, but not essential. The Offer A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the suitable applicant depending on their skill set. This position does require you to live locally, as no accommodation is supplied. Before commencement, a medical and hearing test will be required. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a candidate who preferably resides locally and is eager to learn about the operation of a batching plant, along with the production of high-quality liquid fertiliser and seed dressing.
