Love print products and want to have a hand in the design of two of the country's biggest ag newspapers? We are seeking a print assistant to join Queensland Country Life and North Queensland Register's editorial team in a part time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the production of the two weekly print editions and some associated special publications. A strong grasp of our print audience, attention to detail and independent work are essential. An understanding of agriculture and rural Queensland and/or experience in the agriculture industry is highly valuable. This role offers flexible work arrangements, within the parameters of the papers' deadlines. Location is open to Queensland. The role's key responsibilities: Edit and copyfit print pages Work closely with the print producer to ensure print deadlines are consistently met Demonstrate strong attention to detail and be an ACM Agri style champion Work closely with the print producer and editor to ensure relevant content is repurposed for digital and social media platforms as required Write and edit your own content in consultation with the editor/senior journalist/print producer The ideal candidate: An industry professional with experience in either journalism or agriculture Someone with a high attention to detail who is self-motivated and organised Someone with good time management skills to help meet important deadlines What's in it for you?
