The Opportunity Halfway Motel (RD & Sukh Pty Ltd) in Eden NSW is seeking an experienced and dynamic Motel Manager to lead the daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of motel operations, including managing bookings, handling guest requests, and ensuring the property is clean and well-maintained. The Motel Manager will lead the staff, make sure safety rules are followed, and take care of the motel's finances, like budgeting and pricing. They will also be responsible for promoting the motel and ensuring a positive guest experience. The role requires good leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills to manage all motel operations smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise Motel Operations & Staff: Oversee day-to-day operations of the motel, manage staff performance (receptionists, housekeeping, and room service), and ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest safety. Provide feedback and delegate responsibilities to senior staff. Direct and supervise the motel bookings/reservations. Recruit and Train New Staff: Oversee and manage the recruitment and hiring Motel Staff, provide necessary training and regularly conduct productivity assessments of Motel staff. Guest Experience & Satisfaction: Ensure high-quality customer service, handle guest complaints and ensure they are resolved in timely and effective manner, design initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction, and manage relationships with repeat customers and key clients. Offer guidance on local attractions and organise activities for guests. Financial Management: Oversee financial operations, including monitoring budgets, controlling expenditures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements. Approve financial transactions and manage supplier relationships for cost-effective purchasing. Operational Policies & Compliance: Establish and implement operational policies, ensuring compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations. Conduct regular audits to mitigate risks and maintain operational standards. Maintenance & Infrastructure: Manage motel maintenance, repairs, and renovations to keep the facility in excellent condition. Oversee the upkeep of gardens, outdoor spaces, and amenities to ensure an appealing environment for guests. Record Keeping: Maintain thorough records of motel operations, such as financial transactions, occupancy levels, maintenance plans, and staff activities. Generate reports that analyse this information to help in decision-making. Supervise the monitoring of inventory levels and purchase of supplies. Marketing & Business Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy, manage the motel’s online presence, and build relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and local businesses. Security & Staff Oversight: Supervise security arrangements to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property. Regularly evaluate and improve operational and staff performance to maintain a secure environment. Team Communication & Development: Conduct regular team meetings to set expectations, communicate updates, and foster a collaborative work environment to ensure smooth operations and high performance across departments.
