The Role: The role of the PR & Communications Specialist is to ensure the brand, Franchisees, Media, consortia & wholesale partners and relevant industry organisations are kept informed of developments regarding the organisation and brand. In addition, the role is the key point of contact internally for responses to media enquiries, executing communication and PR campaigns both externally and internally. Key Focus Areas: Support key stakeholder messages for internal and external communications Delivery and execution of PR plans, alongside the PR agency Delivery of communications plans and initiatives End to end execution of internal and external stakeholder email and digital communications Develop Communication policies Develop content for multiple business units Supporting the Executive Leadership Team with drafting and editing requests Corporate reporting Key Responsibilities: Manage and prepare the communications strategy Ensure franchisees, business and trade messages are communicated effectively Support the PR Agency for both Australia & NZ Manage and implement both internal & external communication campaigns Build and develop direct media relationships Ensure business initiatives are successfully communicated to employees, franchisees and stakeholders Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages Contribute to the development of the overall marketing strategy Working with the senior team, develop and manage a content schedule for franchisees, business, and trade Write, proof and review communications and business documents Write, edit, create and distribute weekly franchisee newsletter, manage the collation of content from each department Develop creative and timely strategies to drive strong PR awareness for the brand Assist in the development and implementation of communications strategies for key issues that can affect the brand image Key Requirements: Degree qualified in PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related discipline. 4-5 year Communications / PR experience Exceptional skills to know commercially a good hook in story telling Previous industry experience in either retail, hospitality, travel or franchise networks would be desirable. Seeking exceptional communication skills and be confident in liaising with all internal and external stakeholders. Excellent strong oral and proof-reading skills. Great attention to detail Ability to interpret and communicate corporate data. Solid ability to multi-skill This is a fantastic opportunity to own and develop the communication strategy.
