We’re looking for Casual Family Visit Workers to join our foster care program — someone who brings empathy, professionalism, and a deep commitment to child wellbeing. About the Role: You’ll be the trusted guide who helps children reconnect with their birth families in a safe, nurturing environment. Every visit you facilitate is a chance to rebuild trust, strengthen bonds, and support healing. This role requires transporting children to and from their homes in Anglicare pool cars. Position is based in Anglicare office in Telopea. What You’ll Do: Safely transport children to and from family visits, ensuring comfort and care Fully supervise visits with compassion and attentiveness Build warm, respectful relationships with children, birth families, and foster carers Monitor and respond to safety concerns with calm confidence Write thoughtful, unbiased reports that reflect the emotional and relational dynamics of each visit Share timely feedback with case managers to support the child’s journey Participate in supervision and training to grow your skills and contribute to a safe, supportive team culture What You Bring: A natural ability to connect with children and families Deep empathy and strong observational skills Clear boundaries and a calm, reassuring presence Excellent written and verbal communication Resilience and grace in the face of unexpected challenges About You: Tertiary qualification (or currently studying) in Social Work, Psychology, Child Welfare or Community Services Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence and confidence driving across Sydney Understanding of child protection systems and trauma-informed care Experience supporting children and families through complex situations Why This Role Matters: Children in care deserve moments of connection that feel safe, loving, and real.
