About the role Southport Sharks is seeking an experienced Club Duty Manager to join our team. This position will require the successful candidate to work a roster that includes two night shifts per week. Additionally, a Duty Manager will: Lead the team during shifts and oversee operations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues quickly. Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Manage security, emergencies, and compliance with liquor and gaming regulations. Complete nightly operations and entertainment reports. Safeguard club assets like cash, tills, and safes. Act as Chief Fire Warden during emergencies. Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications Experience as a Clubs Duty Manager is advantageous. Management or supervisory experience in the hospitality or clubs industry. Proficiency with cash handling. Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle patrons professionally and courteously. Personable and trustworthy with staffing matters. Working knowledge of Keno, TAB, and gaming machine operations. Thorough knowledge of the QLD Liquor Act, Gaming Act, Food Safety Act, Fair Work Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, Club Industry Award, and other legislation relevant to licensed venues. RMLV Liquor Approved Managers License Police Check Blue Card Experience as a Duty Manager in similar-sized club in South East Queensland is a big advantage!
