The Role We’re looking for a hands-on Software Engineer & Technical Lead with strong Java backend experience. You’ll lead from the front—architecting systems, mentoring engineers, and delivering features that drive genuine value for end users. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers Define backend architecture and own tech decisions Write clean, scalable code and lead code reviews Champion test automation, code quality, and technical standards Drive Agile practices and sprint planning Act as the technical expert in backend and cloud engineering Collaborate with product and non-tech teams to shape roadmap and delivery What We’re Looking For Strong experience in Java backend development Proficient with REST & GraphQL APIs (build and consumption) Experience with serverless APIs and cloud-first architecture Skilled in SQL & NoSQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) Strong communicator with experience working cross-functionally Proactive mindset with proven leadership and mentoring experience Deep knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices Comfortable with automated testing, debugging, and performance tuning Proficient in Git and modern CI/CD practices Comfortable working in an Agile environment Bonus Points For Experience with AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, AppSync, S3, etc.) Background in building CI/CD pipelines
