Our team encompasses several vital programs: Child and Youth Service: Providing intake, assessment, treatment, and case management for young individuals and families dealing with moderate to severe mental health challenges. Adult Service: Offering triage, assessment, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and case management for adults experiencing mental health issues in rural settings. Acute Care Team: Delivering intake, triage, assessment, and crisis intervention for individuals facing mental disorders within the MHHS region. Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AOD): Specializing in intake, assessment, intervention, and community maintenance/aftercare for individuals facing challenges with alcohol and drug use. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for: Implementing high-quality mental health care, including case management and evidence-based interventions. Conducting assessments, triage, and providing ongoing support for clients across various age groups. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and complying with relevant legislation and organizational policies. Mandatory Experience Proven mental health case management experience Competence in performing ECGs Desirable Experience Experience in AOD case management Familiarity with the CIMHA database, ATODS-IS database, and ieMR Previous experience within Australia, particularly with QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 Experience working with children and adolescents Mandatory Competencies Basic Life Support (BLS) competency Skills in manual and patient handling Infection control practices Aggressive behaviour management Mandatory reporting for suspected child abuse and neglect Medications management in accordance with QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012 Additional Requirements Candidates must agree to undertake the following training as required by our HHS: Integrated electronic medical record training Online induction training Any other training as requested If you are a passionate and skilled Clinical Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the mental health sector, we invite you to apply for this exciting position.
