Company Overview An established and rapidly growing business operating within the manufacturing and agriculture sectors is seeking an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team. The Role Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created part-time position offers broad exposure across multiple entities, with responsibilities spanning month-end reporting, compliance, budgeting and process improvement. The role is ideal for a candidate seeking meaningful, flexible part-time work with variety, autonomy and the chance to shape processes in a business where your voice is valued. This position can be based in either Geelong or Ballarat, with flexible working hours across 3–4 days per week. Responsibilities Assist with month-end close processes across multiple entities Preparation of management reporting packs and financial dashboards BAS preparation, payroll tax, and workers compensation lodgements Support budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with operational teams Develop and document finance procedures including fixed asset management Partner with business owners and operational managers to provide financial insights and reporting to drive profitability Assist with project accounting for new operational initiatives Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements Provide occasional support across AP, AR and payroll functions when required The Candidate The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, adaptable and thrive in a dynamic SME environment. You’ll be a self-starter with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
