About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an Electrical Plant Technician to join the operations and maintenance team of a large-scale, gas-fired power station in regional NSW. This 640MW facility plays a critical role in supporting grid stability and fast-start generation for Australia’s energy market. As a key member of the onsite team, you will help ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant through hands-on maintenance, system operation, and compliance with HSE standards. This is a permanent role offering long-term career development, supportive leadership, and exposure to best-in-class power generation systems. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance on plant equipment Monitor and operate DCS and T3000 systems Contribute to plant shutdowns, outages, and small projects Use CMMS tools for scheduling and documenting work orders Comply with all HSE protocols, permits, and procedures Supervise contractors and participate in an on-call roster Troubleshoot and resolve faults in a fast-paced environment Support continuous improvement and change initiatives onsite Qualifications Electrical trade qualification Demonstrated experience in power generation, heavy industrial or complex plant environments Proficiency with DCS systems and permit-to-work systems CMMS knowledge (SAP preferable) Proven experience in conducting incident investigations Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation How to Apply If you are interested in the position, please apply now with your updated CV.
