The Opportunity: Coregas is seeking a dynamic Business Development Specialist to lead and grow our Healthcare & Specialty Gases portfolio. This is more than just a sales role—it's about building trusted partnerships with hospitals, laboratories, dental practices, medical research facilities, and clinics across VIC/TAS, and delivering safe, high-quality gas solutions that support critical care and innovation. A typical day for you: As a Business Development Specialist, you'll spend your day engaging with clients, identifying new opportunities, and crafting tailored solutions that meet their needs. You’ll manage your territory with autonomy, supported by a collaborative team and a strong brand. From preparing high-impact proposals to attending industry seminars, your work will directly contribute to our mission of delivering safe, high-quality gas solutions. Identify and convert new leads across the healthcare sectors through proactive prospecting and solution-based selling. Prepare for client visits by reviewing account histories, pricing models, and any outstanding proposals or tenders. Visit existing and prospective clients to: Deliver tailored proposals that meet the unique needs of hospitals, research labs, and dental clinics Discuss customer needs and offer tailored solutions Negotiate contracts and pricing Build on your industry connections to develop long-term relationships with medical and scientific professionals Manage key accounts with a focus on retention, service excellence, and strategic growth Stay ahead of market trends by attending healthcare seminars and engaging with industry networks Identifying and securing new customers within the healthcare and specialty sectors through your outstanding sales closing skills and proactive prospecting. Leveraging market intelligence, best practices, and relevant economic trends in the healthcare and specialty industries to inform decision-making. About you: You will be a great fit for our team if you have: Aptitude to learn Excelled skills in developing new business Experience in External Technical Sales/Account Management (preferable not essential) A motivation and drive to achieve results & exceed targets Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A passion for providing customer service The ability to interact with customers and staff at all levels Well-developed computer skills Ideally to succeed in the role and hit the ground running, it would be a huge advantage if you also have: Prior experience with specialty or medical gases (preferable not essential) Sales experience in Universities, Commercial Labs, pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, or medical industries Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Science or similar Why Join us?
