The team manages legal negotiations while identifying and mitigating risks associated with the organisation's diverse investments. The Role The National Lease Transactions Manager is responsible for overseeing the lease administration function for a diverse portfolio of properties. This role involves managing lease agreements, ensuring compliance with retail legislation, optimising lease terms, and providing strategic insights to support the organisation's real estate objectives. The role requires strong leadership skills with extensive experience in retail lease administration and the legal aspects of real estate transactions. This role will see you Lead and mentor a team of leasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment Oversee and administer the end-to-end leas retail leasing for major and leases, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements Develop and implement best practices for lease administration processes to increase efficiency and accuracy while continually optimising the operating model and ways of working across internal and external teams. Conduct regular analysis of lease terms and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved lease performance Manage relationships and performance of external service providers including legal advisors, property management partners and other agencies to ensure that lease administration activities are conducted effectively and efficiently Your Background and Experience You have extensive experience leading a team, ideally within a legal or lease administration function. Your background in property lead administration, property management, or real estate is evident. To excel in this role, you have a proven track record of guiding high-performing teams through change. You understand the importance of advocating for your team while also driving results. Your expertise includes in-depth knowledge of retail lease structures, legal terminology, and compliance requirements, complemented by strong analytical skills.
