Description The Technical Support Officer Role plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and technical assistance to both our clients and internal teams. Responsibilities include providing prompt phone and email support for a variety of technical inquiries, assisting service technicians in the field, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment repairs, maintenance, and installations. The role also involves preparing quotations, processing warranty claims, and interpreting technical documentation. This is an office-based position but may occasionally require travel. Technical Support / Resource Allocation • Provide phone/email technical support to Levanta customers and internal team • Handle all inbound technical support inquiries • Attend service jobs with technicians to provide support/training • Assist service technicians with equipment repairs/maintenance/installations • Prepare quotations for equipment repairs • Process warranty claims with suppliers • Handle spare parts interpretation and quoting • Provide technical updates and bulletins on equipment • Assist scheduling team technical advice for installation/repair work Customer Satisfaction • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring customer feedback, addressing concerns, and implementing improvements. • Follow up customers on previous technical support cases to ensure customer satisfaction Technical Expertise/Training & Development • Attend supplier and internal training courses • Career pathway to supporting with training field service technicians and sales team on new and existing products Data Analysis and Reporting • Providing detailed reporting on open technical support tickets, supplier warranty claims and spare parts sales/requirements • Assist with analysing and reporting on manufacturing defects on various products Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and sales, to provide insights and feedback for product improvements. • Communicate technical updates and issues effectively across the organization. Quality Assurance and Safety • Ensure adherence to technical service quality standards and compliance with relevant regulations, when providing technical support and advice • Safety must be the forefront of all team members. Skills And Experiences Qualifications • Trade certification – must have mechanical fitter or HV/LV Mechanical certification or equivalent qualification. • 5 Years’ experience in a similar industry (e.g. HV or LV workshop, technical support for industrial equipment or similar) • Working in a busy office environment • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and network management system software. • High level organisation and communication skills. • Familiarity with relevant software applications and technical tools. • Customer focus – A customer centric approach and a track record of delivering exceptional service to clients are preferred qualities for this role. • Technical mindset and language • Ability to interpret and understand technical documents/manuals • Work efficiently and effectively • Have fundamental mechanical and electrical knowledge • Exceptional communication skills. • Results oriented. • Structured and organised thinker. • Strong customer service focus. • Highly capable collaborator. • Experience in a highly cross collaborative role in previous positions.
