Primary Location VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St Job Description Summary As part of the Master Data team, the Master Data Consultant is responsible for the accuracy and governance of employee master data. About the Role We are looking for a Master Data Consultant to join our corporate division. The Master Data Consultant plays a key role in the configuration of data in the People and Experience (P&E) system, ensuring alignment to the relevant industrial instrument and will work collaboratively with the P&E and Payroll teams and other key stakeholders, to manage data integrity and support process improvements. About the role Your key responsibilities will include: Manage and validate data related aspects of the employee life cycle, including new hires, internal movements, promotions, contract changes and terminations. Responsible for position creation compliance, ensuring the correct legal entity, cost centre and cost group are allocated. Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of employee data within the P&E system. Ensure alignment of employee records with system changes. Conduct audits and data validation checks to proactively identify and resolve data inconsistencies. Liaise with IR Managers to interpret and configure data in line with new and re-negotiated Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs). Liaise with relevant system stakeholders (Payroll, P&E, JAMS, Site Administrators) to ensure scheduled changes to employee data (wages, allowances) are accurate and updated on time. Assist with terminations eg, date changes, ensuring accuracy across systems to avoid overpayments. Support training initiatives, provide feedback on data issues and errors, including process improvement opportunities. Champion the importance of accurate, high-quality data throughout the business. Employee master data query handling, re-direction and resolution. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in HRIS data entry and management (e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors). Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and payroll data dependencies. Experience in data cleansing, validation, and governance practices. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to confidentially manage sensitive employee data. Experience working in large complex environments, with multiple stakeholders. Understanding of Fair Work legislation, EBA and Award interpretation. Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or a related field and/or equivalent breadth of experience. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Company IT applications. Ability to deal with difficult stakeholders and provide empathy and discretion as required. Communicate effectively, both written and verbally and have strong listening, coaching and influencing skills.
