Reporting to the Category Manager, the Sourcing Specialist will initiate, develop and manage major and complex strategic sourcing exercises, to ensure goods and services are procured to maximum advantage. This role predominantly supports our Facilities, Maintenance and Corporate procurement activities. This work involves extensive engagement with senior-level internal and external stakeholders to explore business requirements, industry dynamics and innovative sourcing and reverse-marketing solutions. Your part in our UnitingCare team Lead negotiations of the most complex and the highest value, long-term commercial agreements with suppliers and business partners. Prepare fact base sourcing strategies, performing opportunity analysis and making sourcing decisions to deliver significant cost savings and value improvement. Design, develop and drive project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones, ensuring organisational financial goals are met, including budget and savings. Advise the General Manager, Procurement Transformation and the wider procurement team regarding the development of the strategic sourcing program of work; as well as procurement and reverse marketing strategies and methodologies. Influence the development of business objectives and operational direction across the business, particularly with respect to opportunities leveraged in procurement markets and the supply chain. What makes a difference for us? A degree qualification in Procurement, Business or a related discipline is essential. Experience in Electricity, Facilities Repairs and Maintenance, Corporate and travel would be advantageous, with a high-level knowledge of strategic sourcing techniques, strategies and related program development techniques. Extensive and proven knowledge of procurement practices; particularly with respect to developing and implementing fact-based sourcing strategy. Confidence in preparing and delivering sourcing presentations; reports; analysis findings to executives and senior management. What makes a difference for you?
