The EL1 ASDEFCON Continuous Capability Development and Delivery (C2D2) SOW Technical Specialist position is a once in a generation opportunity to shape Defence procurement approaches to accelerate capability delivery by: Supporting development of the ASDEFCON C2D2 SOW templates and related guidance to enable speed to capability. Contributing to implementation of acquisition and sustainment reforms and technical process improvements to streamline procurement processes and accelerate capability delivery. Providing advice on ASDEFCON SOW-related acquisition and sustainment queries and issues. Liaising with Defence groups, Defence industry, and other government departments. Supporting Defence business with best practice SOW templates and guidance to support the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability. About our Team The ASDEFCON Statement of Work team is a small, close-knit team of experienced and supportive technical and commercial professionals. The team develops and maintains the technical Statement of Work elements of the ASDEFCON suite of contracting templates and manages initiatives that support procurement reforms to accelerate capability delivery and improve commercial outcomes. The team's core role is to draft the templates used for solicitation documents and contracts used in Australia's largest and most complex capability projects. The team is part of Defence's commercial function and provides Statement of Work development and tailoring expertise and support across the procurement lifecycle to enable Defence to deliver and sustain capability. The team supports flexible work arrangements and will work with the successful candidate to ensure that work arrangements are considerate of individual needs as well as those of the organisation. Our Ideal Candidate You are an engineering or technical practitioner with experience in developing technical statements of work for ASDEFCON tenders, and managing or delivering technical work in acquisition and/or sustainment. You will be experienced, self-driven and highly motivated with a positive attitude to make a difference through procurement reform.
