Primary Location QLD - Banyo Job Description Summary Service Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking a Skilled Operator to join our growing company. You will be apart of a small team and responsible for the Construction of New Water and sewer assets. About the Role Service Strem require a highly skilled operator to Help install New Water And Sewer Infrastructure on Urban utilities Network. Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Banyo Reporting Line: Project Coordinator About the role Due to existing and continued growth, Service Stream require a Skilled operator to help deliver an exciting new program! With this comes an opportunity for experienced Operator to join our Urban Utilities New Connections team at our Banyo QLD office Duties include: Assisting with the safe operation of the plant. Excavations around Live services and Digging on Grade. Assisting Crew on Ground where possible / General labouring activities at times Driving / Operating- Tipper truck / excavator Carrying out routine inspections of all plant and associated equipment. General house keeping and ad hoc duties as required. Reporting to the Supervisor you will have a strong mechanical aptitude, strong safety focus, good communication skills and a "can do" attitude. Trade qualifications and previous experience in a fixed plant operation will be highly regarded as would a Front End Loader ticket. Key Responsibilities & Duties Work under general supervision, applying knowledge and skills to complete clearly defined and routine tasks. Perform daily operational activities efficiently, following established procedures and timelines. Operate excavators on various daily sites in metropolitan and urban areas. Support safe and effective site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Execute trenching, rock breaking, sorting, backfilling, and site clean-up tasks as required. Assist in the installation and laying of water and sewer pipes. Assisting Crew members where possible. IE- pushing pipe / Prepping materials etc Conduct daily machine checks and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Why Work For Us?
