The key duties of the position include The Role The Maintenance Logistics Officer (ASP 6 ILS) in Sustainment is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex material logistics with an integrated workforce. The Maintenance Logistics Officer will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will provide detailed material logistics knowledge in relation to maintenance delivery for the Evolved Cape Class Patrol Boats (ECCPB). They must be able to liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues and provide professional policy based advice, contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. The Maintenance Logistics Officer will work as part of the Waterfront Team consisting of APS/ADF and Industry at HMAS Coonawarra reporting to the Maintenance Manager. They will apply and implement administrative, operational, contract management and technical and resource requirements for complex maintenance projects. These include, Maintenance Logistics support for Extended Maintenance Periods, Urgent Defect Rectification (URDEF), Problem Identification Reports, Supply Chain and Spares report and compiling data for weekly and monthly reporting utilising Commonwealth Tools. After hours and on-call work will be required during URDEF management and Supply Chain support as required. About our Team Regional Maintenance Centre-North (RMC-N), located Darwin NT, provides maintenance to Navy vessels homeported in NT and visiting vessels. RMC-North works in partnership with Regional Maintenance Provided (RMP) as part of the Maritime Sustainment Model for Maritime Sustainment Division.
