About the National Anti-Corruption Commission The NACC enhances integrity in the Commonwealth public sector by deterring, detecting, and preventing corrupt conduct involving Commonwealth public officials. The key duties of the position include Working as part of the Evaluation Branch, the Senior Assessment Officer will produce quality assessments, communicate with members of the public and/or Commonwealth Agencies and assist with change and continuous improvement within the assessments function. The Assessment Section has two opportunities for immediate filling. A merit pool will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months. Duties The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Assessments. Key activities of this position include: Complete assessments of complex information that may raise a corruption issue pursuant to the NACC's legislative framework, including analysis, research, record keeping and report writing. Develop accurate and evidence-based recommendations for the Director of Assessments and Senior Executive, clearly articulating an appropriate action that may be taken in relation to potential corruption issues, consistent with the National Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2022 (the Act). Establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes, facilitate cooperation and communicate decisions. Proactively develop, support and mentor junior officers and identify opportunities for improvement within the team. Support the Assessments Executive by contributing to the development of team priorities and objectives, including capability building across the team and/or branch. The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities. Supporting one another in this way provides opportunities for exposure across the agency and is an integral part of the NACC's positive workplace culture.
