About this role This role is responsible for assisting with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of develop mentally appropriate education and care programs for individual children and groups, including children with special needs. Requirement: Cert III level or higher education level education and care qualification approved under the National Quality Framework (or working towards) Hold or able to obtain a current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) Hold or willing to obtain qualifications approved under the National Quality Framework, including first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis training Hold or willing to complete Fire Awareness and Extinguisher training/Warden’s Emergency Management Procedures courses. Job Description/Responsibilities: Assist Group Leader with the preparation, implementation and evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate education and care programs for individual children and groups, including children with special needs. Ensure all the day-to-day activities are delivered consistently and in accordance with the requirements of the National Quality Framework Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes Under direction, work with individual children with special needs Monitor and assist with daily routines including children’s’ arrivals, departures, eating, sleeping, cleaning up and meals Ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing is maintained at all times Willingly follow directions from the Group Leader, Assistant Director and/or Director as required Actively participate in team meetings and be willing to undertake professional development opportunities
