Role Summary: As the Head of Revenue Management for Oceania at Maersk, you will play a pivotal role in our journey to be the best operator in the ocean industry - delivering better margins and unmatched quality for our customers. Reporting to the regional Head of Oceania Market, you will lead a team of experienced professionals, responsible for maximizing revenue and utilization through tactical pricing, capacity management, and profitability optimization. You will collaborate closely with the Market, Product, Operations, and Network teams to execute the strategy and ensure optimal revenue performance, utilization, and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and People Management: Lead and mentor a team of revenue management professionals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Fully optimize the tools available to enhance team engagement and performance. Inspire and drive change across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability. Revenue Management: Supervise the setting and optimizing of short-term rates to maximize profitability and deliver on volume, utilization, and revenue targets. Manage the development and implementation of revenue management tactics and strategies to maximize profitability. Consolidate the reporting on revenue performance, providing insights and recommendations for tactical and strategic moves. Own the execution of the “model ship” per service based on global flows, market demand, customer segments, and cargo contribution. Monitor specific trade(s) targets, and ensure that such targets are met, particularly yield and utilization. Take initiatives to drive the transformation, including piloting and rollouts. Consultation: Contribute to Ocean budget, targets and direction setting, based on optimization analyses. Provide insights for ongoing product, revenue management models, processes, and tools development. Contribute to network optimization efforts. A highly empathic and emotionally intelligent leader. Proven experience in revenue management, trade, and market management, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry. Strategic, collaborative, analytical, and innovative mindset. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Tech savvy, experimental, innovative, and commercially driven. Preference for candidates already based in Oceania. Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check. Where applicable, background checks including Employment History and Education History (including Qualifications) may be required.
