Description The Barkly maintenance crew report to the Operations Manager and have one of the most important jobs on the station, working independently, driving company vehicles to diligently check diesel and solar pumps, monitor troughs, tanks & turkey's nest and all things water for 55,000 head of cattle across 2.3 million acres. They enjoy the variety that goes with monitoring, maintaining and repairing various property assets, plant, equipment, fencing, pipework and infrastructure so that it is kept in safe and good working order. We rely on their excellent observation skills, common sense and logic to notice, and promptly report any issues or potential concerns around livestock, fences and general infrastructure. Specific experience in similar role on a station isn't required. We're open to transferrable skills from a range of industries or professions from someone who is willing to embrace station life and will enjoy being a part of a large, energetic and diverse crew.
