Enterprise Architect – Contract or Permanent | Flexible Engagement At 9 Yards, we’re seeing a significant uplift in client demand for strategic architecture support and delivery. As a result, we’re looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect to join our high-performing team and help lead engagements across a range of industries — including financial services, government, health, and member-based organisations. This role is available on either a contract or permanent basis, with full flexibility on the allocation of days. Whether you’re seeking part-time or full-time engagement, we’re open to shaping the role around the right person. What’s critical is your ability to guide architectural thinking, influence outcomes, and support a team of Solution Architects and supporting specialists across concurrent engagements. What You’ll Be Doing: Leading and contributing to enterprise architecture initiatives that align with client strategy, transformation programs, and business objectives Defining and refining target state architectures, roadmaps, and architecture principles Providing oversight and quality assurance across solution designs, ensuring alignment to enterprise goals Mentoring and guiding a small team of Solution Architects and contributing consultants Supporting governance, design forums, and stakeholder decision-making across business and technology domains Advising on emerging technology trends and best practices, including AI, data platforms, and integration approaches What You’ll Bring: 10 years’ experience in enterprise architecture roles across complex, multi-layered environments Strong background in defining target states, reference architectures, and actionable roadmaps Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills Demonstrated leadership of architecture teams and engagement across CIO, CTO, and business leadership groups Familiarity with enterprise platforms, regulatory environments, and cross-functional delivery contexts Awareness of AI and its evolving implications for business and technology architecture is a bonus Why Join 9 Yards?
