The New Educator Support Director is responsible for the implementation of the ACT Education Directorate's New Educator Support Program (NESP). NESP is a recognised support under the ACT Public Sector Education Directorate (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 for developing new educators in the first three years of their career, to improve their transition into the teaching profession. The Director is a newly established role, responsible for providing operational leadership in the design, development, and implementation of mentoring initiatives for new educators. The Director will support schools to establish effective mentoring programs, coordinate targeted professional learning, and strengthen the retention and success of new educators.
