The Opportunity As an Executive Assistant working at Universities Australia, you’ll work closely with respected leaders, contributing to meaningful national initiatives. This is a hands-on role that will see you managing priorities across a fast-paced, outward-facing office. You’ll be a key enabler for someone who works at the forefront of sector-wide policy, engagement, and events including preparations for flagship conferences and initiatives. The Role You’ll provide short-term, high-level support to a senior executive during an 8-week peak period. Working closely with the executive and broader leadership team, your responsibilities will include: Diary and inbox management, including scheduling internal and external meetings Preparing and formatting high-quality correspondence, briefings, and documents Coordinating domestic travel and event logistics Managing incoming requests, correspondence, and stakeholder queries Supporting broader team priorities and staying across key milestones and deliverables The Ideal Person You’re a capable and confident EA with a background supporting senior leaders in a professional or fast-moving environment. You’ll thrive in this role if you are: Proactive, efficient, and calm under pressure Skilled in juggling complex diaries, conflicting priorities, and high-volume communication Discreet and professional in handling sensitive or high-level matters Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ready to hit the ground running and bring immediate value to the team Availability is key, so this would suit someone immediately available.
