Join a workplace where your knowledge, experience, diversity The role will include:- Assist with the assessment of Ministerial Infrastructure Designation proposals and called in applications, along with the preparation of all necessary documentation for the Planning Minister's consideration and decision.- Assist with the assessment of Regional Interest Development Applications under the Regional Planning Interests Act 2014.- Apply specialist development assessment knowledge and expertise to undertake liaison and negotiation on development applications (including P&E Court matters) and other development assessment related matters that are of strategic importance to the department.- Undertake research and analysis and interpret issues in relation to planning initiatives.- Liaise, negotiate and develop effective networks with stakeholders to deliver planning outcomes.- Provide detailed expert advice and support to senior management and to stakeholders.- Initiate and prepare clear and well researched correspondence, briefings, instructions to lawyers, development conditions, reports and cabinet documentation.- Interpret, apply and advise on relevant legislation, policies and procedures to customers.- Participate in, and on occasions, lead multi-disciplinary projects and project teams.- Represent the department, as appropriate, at industry/stakeholders events, Court mediations, meetings and working groups in an effective and professional manner.
