The Position Sorell Family Practice are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to take on the role of Nurse Manager , leading their nursing team and actively contributing to patient care. This is a full-time permanent role combining leadership responsibilities along with regular clinical days in the treatment room, working alongside the doctors and nurses to deliver exceptional patient care. Working closely with the Directors, Practice Manager and General Practitioners, you will oversee nursing services, coordinate daily clinical operations, and support the financial and operational performance of the practice. This role suits a Registered Nurse with leadership experience, strong clinical skills, and a solid understanding of business operations in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. Work clinically in the treatment room, supporting chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, minor procedures, and more. Oversee daily operations of the treatment room, including rostering, stock control, and equipment maintenance. Support GPs with care plans, health assessments, and preventative health initiatives. Work with the Practice Manager on workforce planning, clinical resource management, and quality improvement projects. Assist in managing budgets, monitoring costs, and contributing to the financial sustainability of the practice. Understand the operational aspects of running a healthcare business, including contributing to accreditation, risk management, and compliance. About You Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse . Experience in general practice or primary health care. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and the operational needs of a healthcare business. A passion for continuous improvement and delivering positive health outcomes.
