About you Are you enthusiastic, client focussed and committed to supporting people living their best lives? We are looking for experienced support workers to join a resolute team to assist our client, a professional family person who sustained a high-level spinal cord injury living over 3 years ago and lives in the Eastern suburbs. The hours are across a 24/7, 7 days a week active roster. Above Award wages apply. As this is a high complex care model, we are seeking professional workers that have worked with clients who require suctioning via tracheostomy and are familiar with ventilation and cough assist. You will be responsible for providing quality, individualised and flexible support services to assist our client to live independently, safely, and comfortable within the community. Your role will include : Supporting with personal care - hygiene, transfers, continence, grooming, etc. Supporting to access the community - transport to and from appointments or shopping in the client's vehicle. Our Applicants will have: An engaging Person-centred approach to in home support Effective communication and relationship building skills. Proven experience in collaborating with people living with a disability that have high complex care needs , preference to individuals with Spinal Cord injury experience. Skills & Experience Required: Certificate III in Individual Support or similar or Diploma of Nursing/Bachelor of Nursing. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children check. Current First Aid and CPR Certificates Current Manual Handling Certificate Valid unrestricted Driver's Licence and willing to transport clients.
