This is a 6 month appointment for a Thoracic Fellow/Registrar commencing in August 2025 with possible extension. This role would be suitable for a senior surgical HMO passionate about thoracic surgery, keen to refine their operative skills, and eager to contribute meaningfully to high-quality, patient-centred care. As the Thoracic Surgery Fellow/Registrar, you will: Assist renowned thoracic surgeons in cutting-edge minimally invasive, robotic and endoscopic procedures. Take a lead in patient care through ward rounds, discharge planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Participate in emergency and elective thoracic cases with a strong focus on surgical precision and efficiency. Engage in administrative duties that contribute to the smooth function of the unit. Build your operative logbook and clinical exposure in a supportive, high-volume environment. Attend weekly lung cancer MDT meetings, audits, and teaching sessions at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Undertake research projects, present findings, and take part in ongoing medical education.
