The Strategy and Architecture Practice works across ASB to help us reach our goals through discovering current architectures, defining target state architectures, creating roadmaps and solution architecture. Architect - Strategy and Architecture Practice As a Data Architect, you'll be embedded within an Architecture squad to work on a variety of solutions, learn from your colleagues, and shape our data models to support the solution designs for Banking-as-a Service's integrations. You will work in a group of Principal and Solution Architects with different areas of expertise (e.g. Business, Applications, Data, Security, Infrastructure), so keeping an eye on the big and small pictures and working to your strengths as well as learning from and leveraging other experts will be key. You'll be a wiz at building rapport and communicating with all types of people, so everyone understands, and is on board with solution and design choices, and understands what that means in terms that are relevant to each person. As part of a Practice, you'll also form part of a close-knit team of experts and will contribute towards building the capability of the Strategy and Architecture Practice, set up guard-rails, leverage best practice and drive continuous improvement. This may sound like a tall order, but you have a supportive practice backing you, tribes/platforms and delivery teams singing out for your skills and a passion to embrace the new…. So, it should all be a walk in the park for someone like you. You will have a background in enterprise data architecture and have experience across all aspects. You possess deep experience in Enterprise Data modelling and/or integration architecture with some exposure to banking or financial services. You will be leveraging an industry banking reference architecture to design, document and create enterprise data models to support ASB's modern integration initiatives. Your role bridges the gap between enterprise architecture and systems engineering in the data landscape with industry standard data modelling standards to ensure consistency, reusability, and interoperability across systems and services. You must have effective communication and people skills to help you build relationships, understand and communicate complex information, and get different people on board to achieve your goals and ASB's direction. As a starter for success, we'd love you to have some of the following experience and skills: 5 years' experience as a Data Architect, or equivalent role in an enterprise environment Demonstrated understanding of the disciplines of enterprise data architecture. Experienced in executing principles and practices related to data architecture design. Familiarity with enterprise architecture and data modelling tools such as: BizzDesign, ArchiMate, etc.). Strong communication and documentation skills. Strong understanding of Data Governance. Experience in the Enterprise Data Architecture environment. In addition; either of the following would be nice to have: Strong understanding of BIAN framework (Service Domains, BOM, Business Scenarios, etc) Knowledge of API design and integration concepts (like REST APIs, JSON schemas, etc.) Exposure to standards such as Open Banking or ISO20022 etc. He aha tā mātou | What can we offer Get the work-life equation right.
