We now have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Enterprise Architect to join our Finance and Technology team in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Strategy Manager, the Principal Enterprise Architect provides strategic leadership to shape and govern APA’s enterprise architecture, ensuring technology investments align with business strategy. The role focuses on cost-efficiency, architectural integrity, and future-readiness across IT and OT, while driving digital transformation and developing architecture capability across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture to align technology strategy with APA’s long‑term business objectives. Lead architectural planning and governance, ensuring cost‑efficient, secure, and resilient solutions across IT, OT, cloud, and data platforms. Evaluate and guide technology investment decisions, focusing on total cost of ownership, risk, and value alignment. Support digital, cloud, and analytics transformation, partnering with stakeholders to design and implement future‑ready, secure platforms. Embed cybersecurity, resilience, and compliance into enterprise architecture, aligning with APA’s critical infrastructure obligations. Foster collaboration and build architecture capability, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and mentoring a high‑performing architecture practice. Your background Provide strategic enterprise architecture leadership within complex, regulated environments such as energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure. Expertise across IT and OT integration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks. Develop and govern architecture standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost efficiency, and long‑term value. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, translating technical concepts for senior and executive audiences. Proven experience in enterprise and solution architecture, project delivery, and risk management within highly regulated industries. Leadership focus on team building, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
