The key duties of the position include The Role The Directorate of Navy Engineering (DNE) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Intelligence Assessment Analyst that can work as part of a team to undertake intelligence assessments and training support for specialised Communications Electronic Support and Communications equipment in Royal Australian Navy submarines and surface combatants. This role will require the applicant to be able to obtain and maintain a Positive Vetted (PV) security clearance. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team The position resides within Directorate of Navy Engineering (DNE) Navy Deployable SIGINT Systems (NDSS), an embedded engineering services team within the RAN's Tactical Electronic Warfare Support Section (RANTEWSS). NDSS is responsible for the provision of engineering services, subject matter expertise relating to Intelligence Training systems and warranted engineering advice on Electronic Warfare systems and related technologies used by the Royal Australian Navy. Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has a significant background within the Intelligence Assessment field and training of technical experience in, or applicable to, the field of RF and communications systems within a maritime context. This should include knowledge and experience in the integration, operation and training of SIGINT, EW and related systems on maritime platforms. The ability to work as part of a multidiscipline team is critical along with the ability to interact with different groups within Defence. The ideal candidate would have a consistent record of accomplishment working independently under limited direction and have effective verbal and written communication skills.
