Hastings Deering is looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our high-performing team in Mackay. In this exciting role, you'll be the driving force behind the maintenance and optimisation of our facilities—ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. You’ll work closely with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain the quality, safety, and efficiency of our assets. What You'll Be Doing: Building strong, positive relationships with stakeholders across the business. Conducting regular inspections and audits of our business centres, logging any defects using our Maintenance Service Centre software. Supporting the launch and delivery of new initiatives that maximise the return on our facilities investment. Monitoring scheduled maintenance activities to ensure we meet regulatory compliance and keep our people and workplaces safe. Coordinating contractors for essential repairs and services, with a strong focus on safety and quality. Minimising unscheduled breakdowns by ensuring proactive maintenance of equipment and plant operations. Overseeing contractor performance to ensure work is completed on time, on spec, and to a high standard. Managing and maintaining our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all facilities-related activities. Providing feedback and solutions to help us exceed key performance targets in the Facilities team.
