The Role An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacy Intern to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Counsel patients on proper medication use Dispense prescriptions accurately and appropriately Support continuity of safe medicine use across care settings Educate healthcare staff on medicines and effective communication About you To be successful in this position you will require: Possession of a tertiary degree in Pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution AHPRA Registration Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Temporary full time (up to 12 months) Base salary ranging from $79 051 per annum About Us The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast HHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University, Robina and Varsity Lakes Hospitals, the Helensvale, Southport and Robina Health Precincts and Numinbah Correctional Centre Centre as well as various community services.
