About the role The Corporate team is seeking a highly motivated HR professional to join us at the APS6 level. As a Senior HR Adviser, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of HR functions including recruitment, payroll, learning and development and workplace relations. This is a unique role as it provides a rare opportunity to contribute to the establishment of policies and processes for a newly created agency while diversifying your skill set across multiple functions. The key duties of the position include Key responsibilities Provide specialist advice on, and interpretation of, relevant legislation, industrial instruments and PWSS policies to guide managers and employees and assist in the resolution of complex issues and sensitive matters relating to recruitment, employee conditions, WHS, learning and development and payroll. Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and induction activities. Manage the effective delivery of payroll through oversight of, and liaison with, the payroll provider to ensure satisfactory compliance in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement (EA), employment frameworks and shared services agreement. Provide secretariat support to the Staff Consultative Committee. Coordinate HR reporting and input to government reporting requirements including the agency's responses to surveys and reports, including the PWSS Annual Report, Parliamentary Questions on Notice, Senate Estimates briefings, APS Employee Census, APS Agency Survey and the APS Remuneration Survey. Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of policies, procedures and systems to support the establishment and growth of the agency. Undertake supervisory responsibilities for a member of the team including providing performance feedback and development opportunities, setting priorities, managing workflows, and providing guidance.
